Dignity for people with learning disabilities or mental health issues often involves what other people may take for granted – asking the person what they want, what support they need and including the individual at all stages of the care planning process. This may involve taking more time to prepare and using alternative or additional methods of communication, such as the use of pictures and symbols.
Unified Care’s dedicated staff and management team know this, first and foremost, and the dignity of our service users is at the very heart of what we do.
